Relay Properties began in 2012 with a clear focus: providing high-quality management for small to mid-sized multifamily properties. What started as a management-first approach quickly evolved. By 2013, we recognized the opportunity to build long-term value through ownership and began acquiring real estate for our own portfolio. Over the next decade, we strategically expanded - acquiring 27 buildings and 725 apartment units between 2013 and 2022. Our growth was fueled by a disciplined investment approach: acquiring underperforming assets, repositioning them to unlock value, and leveraging equity—both from family partnerships and reinvested returns—to scale our portfolio.
In 2020, we took a bold step towards the future. With our foundation established, we committed to transforming our management company into a scalable, efficient platform capable of supporting long-term growth. Over the following four years, we overhauled our systems, adopted a centralized management model, integrated new technologies, and built a team of talented professionals aligned with our mission. The result: a high- performance management operation that drives both operational excellence and superior financial outcomes across our portfolio.
Today, Relay Properties is not just a multifamily investor—we are a fully integrated real estate platform, combining a sharp eye for opportunities with a management company that delivers results. We're proud of where we’ve been, and we're excited about where we’re going.

Managing Partner
Brad is the Managing Partner of Relay Properties, an apartment property management and investment company. In his role, Brad provides strategic leadership and oversees the full Relay Properties portfolio. He is directly responsible for daily operations, acquisitions, dispositions, and the integration of technology, systems, and processes that drive growth and efficiency across the company. Relay Properties was founded to manage apartment buildings acquired within its partnership group. Over the past five years, Brad has led the effort to refine operations, implement innovative technologies, and build a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional results.
At the core of Relay's philosophy is a commitment to building communities and fostering strong, interdependent relationships with Residents, Partners, and Team members. Brad's leadership reflects this vision-focusing not just on managing properties, but on creating lasting value and great experiences for everyone involved.
